City Break Travel Essentials

Travel Essentials

If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you will know I enjoy a good old city break. Earlier this year Tom and I went to New York for a week and this month we went to Prague. We’re also heading off to Disneyland Paris at the end of the month which I’m super excited for.  Every time we go on a city break I like to make a list of all the essentials I will need while I’m away. I try to pack light, emphasis on the try… But there are certain travel items I just can’t go without that make any trip so much easier. I won’t bore you with the general things to take, as most of it depends where you’re going, how long for and is very dependent on the weather. So without further ado…

Camera

I love taking photos. I like to document my trip as much as I can so I always take my camera with me. While I take lots of photos on my phone for Instagram too, the quality of my camera just doesn’t compare when I’m trying to get blog photos.

Power bank charger

When I’m away I like to post my photos on Instagram and Twitter so my family and friends can see. I also use Google Maps quite a lot too, in order to get around. Using apps quite often obviously drains my phone battery, so I make sure to take my power bank charger with me to plug in as and when I need a bit more battery. Honestly, I can’t recommend these enough.

Adidas Trainers

Comfy shoes

Comfy shoes are a staple for any kind of travel in my opinion. Whether you’re going to be walking around all day or not, you don’t want your feet to be hurting while you’re away. I’m a jeans and trainers kind of girl anyway and I’ll even wear trainers with dresses for a more casual look. You can get really affordable Adidas trainers from Latest Deals so there’s no excuse for sore feet anymore.

Travel organiser

When we were going to New York, we were given a travel organiser as a one of our Christmas presents. We didn’t realise how convenient it was to have one but it just makes everything so much easier, as you can store your passport, travel documents and money in it then pop it in your hand luggage.

  1. I agree with the travel charger! Sometimes if my trip is short enough, I don’t even need to bring a wall charger. I also pack a refillable water bottle as my weekend breaks are usually jam-packed with activities!
